Proofing is the most important and confusing process any graphic arts professional must understand. Types and technologies are constantly changing leaving us all dazed and confused. The BRIDGí S Committeeís mission is to gather, identify, explain and distribute information on todayís proofing processes. Proofs allow designers and customers to check the artworkís color before the job is plated and running on press. Selecting the appropriate type of proof is the trick a good production person must master. The handbook is generic and does not recommend any specific manufacturerís names or process, thatís up to the user to decide.
